Here is all the details for people planning to attend Pinkfest on Friday

12:30 am Lunch at Ed Debevic's. Ginger is hosting. Ed's is on the
northwest corner of the intersection of Ontario and Wells. Valet parking
is available in front of the building plus there are many lots in the
area.

If you're staying at the Red Roof Inn, Ed's is 8 blocks straight west.
For those at the Best Western River North, it's 1 block north and 1
block west.

For those without a car, you can either take the Red Line (State St
subway), get off at Grand, and then 2 blocks north and 4 blocks west, or
take the Brown Line (Ravenswood El) to the Mart station and walk about 5
blocks north.

2-6 pm Open house at Janna's. 8308 FULLERTON AVENUE, RIVER GROVE, IL
60171 708-456-9056. Last year Janna had refreshments for us (apple
cider & donuts) & some sales. She really made us feel welcome at her
studio.

If driving, just take the Eisenhower out to First Avenue and go north to
Fullerton. Make a right on Fullerton and she is on the left (I think)
about a block down.

She is a few blocks from the River Grove Metra station. This is a "train
train", not a subway or el, but should only be a few $$$$. This leaves
Union Station which is just west of the Loop, and right by the one hotel
where a bunch of our people stayed a few years back. Janna says she can
pick people up from the station if you call her.

Oak Park Shopping: For anyone going to Winberies, there is also nice
shopping nearby. There are a lot of cool, independent stores in Oak
Park. The Oak Park location of Transformation's by Rori is closed.

Winberies: Please sign up if attending 151 N Oak Park Ave (SW corner or
Lake and Oak Park) Oak Park, IL Tel: 708-386-2600

From Downtown 1. Train Take CTA green line west to Oak Park stop, walk
about 2 blocks North 2. Driving take 290 to Austin, North on Austin to
Lake Street, left (West) on lake to Oak Park Meeting:

Look for me (6'0"tall, thin, blond curly hair) by bar visible from
entrance. If you don't see anyone T, ask for reservation for Elena.

6:30 Happy half half hour at Bar. Then dinner at 7:00. Winberie's is a
fairly fancy so dress up some if you want. They have very good american
fare and excellent service

9:00 ish - Nutbush: 7201 W. Franklin Forest Park, Illinois It is at NW
corner of Harlem and Franklin

10:30ish - Hunters 1932 E. Higgins Elk Grove, IL 60007

If you are planning to meet us at Nutbush or Hunters, just show up. Call
my cell phone (847) 555-5555 to see if we are on schedule. I will be
with Pinkfest all day Friday.

Nutbush was warming up when we were there last year bu it is nice place
to have a drink. It is mainly a neighborhood gay/lesbian bar but it
does have a dance floor. Hunters will be rocking. It is a large gay
nightclub also popular with t-girls.

hugs,
Elena

For those coming to Friday event(s), here are the details:

12:00 noon Lunch at Thyme and Honey which is at 7525 W. Madison (just east
of DesPlaines) in Forest Park. Phone is (708) 771-5752. There is some
street parking in front and additional parking in the rear. It has good
food with a fairly standard american menu with some vegatarian dishes and
moderate prices. The service is very friendly.

You can also take the CTA. From downtown, take the Green line west (not
toward O'Hare) to Harlem avenue. It is about a mile walk. First go south
down Harlem to Madison, then right on Madison to Thyme and Honey.

Aftrwards there is some good shopping in nearby in Oak Park. There is also
Frank Lloyds home and studio and other buildings built by him in the area.
We can decide at lunch if want a daytime activity. Janna had to cancel her
open house because she is moving. She will be at Winberie's for dinner.
