Annie, both Veronica and I are planning to come to Pinkfest this year
but we don't have any information on the event. Could you send us the
information so we can register and book our hotel? Also do you have any
rough idea of dates for DIVA for 2012 yet?

This will be both Veronica's and my first Pinkfest and are really
looking forward to it. Thanks for your help.

Cathy,

Is Chicago ready for you? Just kidding, it took me a minute to realize
who you are and I think you will have a ball.

We'll even try to do a couple of upscale things just for you! Check out
the Chicago Chop House for one of our traditional venues.

My advice is to stay close to the Magnificent Mile for the great
shopping during daylight hours! Its also easy to get around town from
there with public transportation as private automobiles can be a
liability in Chicago. Parking is especially problematic and I have
experience with the expense and aggravation that can bring!

If you have any special things you want to see, do, etc. please post
them to the list!

Great to have both of you with us! I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

As far as "registration" for Pinkfest, you just did it. All you need to do is to state to the group that you will be with us. The only other "hoop jump" is that Ginger will be calling for RSVPs as the date approaches, so that's where you sign up for anything where a headcount is needed.

As far as hotels, please do not hesitate to get your reservations in! Two months out (as in NOW) is about the time which rates have been known to blast off into the stratosphere. I suggest that you book now to get the rate locked in, even if the rates appear to be a bit on the high side. Don't fall into the trap of holding until they drop. Unless you book a non-refundable rate, hotels will be cooperative in adjusting rates if they do drop in the meantime.

We'll be introducing the date selection process on the DLVORG list within the next 1-2 list cycles, depending on the traffic. We'll most likely vote on the DLV dates in early October, so you'll know the dates by the time of Pinkfest.

We're looking forward to having you. I'm sure you'll enjoy it. Pinkfest is much smaller than DLV but it is a lot of fun!
