Annie,

I agree with Laura -- you have a great eye for finding the right
pictures.

The Art Institute of Chicago had so much and we had so little time. I
had no idea Chicago had a collection of that stature. It was definitely
world class.

We definataely need to put the Art Institute of Chicago on the schedule
for next year. If we happen to be in town when the symphony is
performing that would be a great opportunity too!

And we do need to get the Kodaks out and use them -- what are we coming
to anyway? :)

Thanks. {blush} :)

You might even remember me taking this one:

We used to do daytime things for Pinkfest, but over the past few
years, except for the vendor open house session, they just don't
seem to attract many of our people.

For the very first Pinkfest (2001) we did Museum of Science And
Industry. This was just 6 weeks after 9/11. There was another
vehicle following me whose driver was unsure of the way. I said
to "follow me and stay tight", and I turned in and parked in the
underground garage. It took seemingly forever for them to get
through the gate. It turns out that they had a piece in the
vehicle and got caught up in the inspection. (For me, all they
asked was a trunk-pop.) They were eventually admitted.

I remember they had a purse inspection at the booth for MSI
as well.

Usually at TG events there are cameras everywhere!

Not to sound like I'm doing yet another shameless plug, but
most of the follow-up pages for Diva Las Vegas 2009 are now
on line at:

http://www.geekbabe.com/dlv/dlv2009/

We've ALWAYS had lots of cameras there! :)

Art Institute (was Re: 2nd Story ...)

One of my favorite exhibits at the Art Institute are the Marc Chagall
windows. They have been off exhibit for more than four and a half years
now for cleaning and protection from construction of the new wing. I
have heard they are supposed to be returned to exhibit sometime soon. I
am sure they will be back by the next Pinkfest. I could spend all
afternoon just sitting there looking at them.

The Chicago Symphony usually has a very active calendar of events for
October. They should announce the events for the 2010-2011 season
sometime this spring.

How about a "Mr. Obama's Neighborhood Tour" next year? I love Hyde Park...
