The Diva Las Vegas Rules of Golf

In all instances, if at all possible, players will tee off from the designated Ladies Tees.  Failure to do so will result in comments like, “my dear, why make it so hard on yourself?”

In the interest of expedited play, there will be maximum scores per hole.  Once the maximum is reached, the player will “pick up” her ball and move to the next tee.  Maximum scores will be as follows:

--  Par 3s, maximum score of six

--  Par 4s, maximum score of eight

--  Par 5s, maximum score of ten

Each player is able to purchase two mulligans per 9 holes, as well as one mulligan per round to use for a putt, for a total of five mulligans per round.  Each mulligan costs one dollar, for a total potential cost per player of $5.  Purchases must be made before the start of play.  When a player decides to use a purchased mulligan, she must inform the other players in her group of her intent to do so.  Each player has a maximum of one mulligan per hole.

Each player must insert their tees into the ground at each tee-box in a ladylike fashion.  The proper technique will be demonstrated before the start of play.  Failure to follow the technique will result in a one-shot penalty.

On par-threes, if none of the players gets on the green with their tee shot, the players may decide that the green is in the wrong place, and hit again.  This will not count as a mulligan.

If players get lost on the course, between holes, they will not drive around, willy-nilly.  Instead, they must stop their carts and ask directions to the next hole.  Failure to do so will result in a one-shot penalty.

If a player’s ball is lost in the rough, the foursome can decide that it’s the groundskeeper’s fault, because the rough really should have been tended more carefully, and allow the player to play a ball from the edge of the rough, without penalty.

If a player’s ball goes into the water, the foursome can decide that the water provides an unfair disadvantage, and allow the player to play their next shot from a spot adjacent to the water, without penalty.

Any player who does not revel in the totally unique nature of our event will be forced to organize

it the following year.   No exceptions.  Enjoy!
